    Position Overview

    As a Lead  Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for the overall leadership for 3rd shift mechanics, repairs and maintenance on our company fleet as well as making sure equipment repairs are completed in a timely manner

    Responsibilities

    • Diagnose and repair, replace or rebuild:
      • Truck engines, transmissions, rear end
      • Electronic engines & components
      • Brake Systems
      • Cooling Systems
      • Fuel Systems
      • Tractor/Trailer suspensions & frame
    • Perform preventative maintenance to fleet equipment.
    • Road calls for over the road equipment.
    • Interpret & use work orders to track all equipment repairs.
    • Use computer and diagnostic equipment for troubleshooting.
    • Inspecting, troubleshooting, diagnosing and performing maintenance
    • Test equipment for proper performance and ensures that the work meets regulations
    • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    • High school diploma or equivalent
    • Electronic experience
    • Should have specific knowledge of heavy truck repairs in a commercial environment, including diesel engine system diagnostics to ensure equipment is operating appropriately
    • Experience with refrigeration units required
    • 3-5 years minimum experience required
    • Must have a valid driver’s license; Class A CDL a plus
    • ASE Certification a plus
    • Must have own tools
    • High standard of integrity and reliability
    • Compliance with all company policies and procedures
    • Authorization to work in the United States or the ability to obtain the same
    • Successful completion of pre-employment drug testing and background check
    • Must be available to work days, nights, weekends, overtime and holidays
